!!!before you do this fix/bypass/whatever, the phone may or may not retain the address book, downloaded software, etc. and as such i take no responsibility or liability should you erase, damaged, or brick your phone, and you assume full responsibility of your own accord!!! In this video (crap as it is) i show you how to fix/bypass the metro pcs screen freeze that happens on the samsung r350/r351 phones. in the video i make the mistake of referring to the software versions of the phone as r351 and r352 when i should have said R350.01 and R350.02 Anyway what causes the phone(s) to freeze/stick on the metro pcs screen is the software installed by metro has security measures built in to insure that the phone doesn’t get unlocked by the user (unlocked in the sense of free service, not for a diff. carrier). With certain cheap accessories (EG a gas station car charger) the phone recognizes it is connected via USB and attempts to read and write, however, the leads on the connector are not soldered on and as such the phone keeps sending and receiving until it freezes. if you pull out the cable the phone displays the text “phone charger disconnected!” and the phone automatically resets with out clearing the memory, so when you go to turn it back on the phone has full memory and sticks at the metro pcs screen. pretty much my remedy forced the phone to reset the internal memory on the phone, hence the default background.
